With a sandblasted finish it will get dirty and dark grey color. Dirt will really stick to it.
No way to clean it. Also corrosion canstart.
I would paint it with engine paint.

Are you sure? There are a lot of non pinted engine, also in Honda. most of Honda scooters has no paint in the transmission case and crankcase. If you do not take care, white dots of corrosion may appear but only if this bikes rides in salted roads or in seaside areas. I love my bike and I will care it.

Those "white dots" is chlorides of aluminum. Corrosion.
All of the Honda engine cases come with a coating on them.

That gap between the engine and the frame is a problem!
You cannot just tighten up big gaps because it puts a lot of stress on the aluminum engine case. use shims if you have to.

Loosen the bolts on the frame and get that engine mount plate up against the engine mount.
Then put washers between the frame and the mount plate. If you have to get longer bolts! That is too large of a space to just draw it up. You are lucky the engine casting has not cracked.

Very nice job so far.

Thaks for the suggestion, I will loose the bolts and re check again, if necessary I will put washers.

Regarding Coat for the engine, are you sure that all engines are coated? I have an engine from a Scooter in front of me and I can not see coat on it.

Tons of thanks. I did what you suggest me. I used 5mm washers betwen plate and frame. Now it is perfect.

I agree with you, but:
One of my friends tunned a Yamaha SRX600 12 years ago. He didn't paint nor case nor cylinder and still looks perfect. It's clear that it need some more care than painted but finish is very special.
I hope in 10 years I will be able to re confirm my theory.

Last days I've been working on most important part: Adjustments.

they are not really visible but they are very important to enjoy riding (not only cleaning the bike).
After first start I noticed some fuel leakage from float chamber breathers. When I worked with carburetors I didn't pay attention since bike was runniong OK before engine removal.
Once checked I found many parts out of service limits.
I ordered new floats, float valves, slow and main jets and of course new o rings.
You can see cone wear comparing old float valves with new one in the midle.

I boys,

Long time since last entry. I been working on my bike, and it is ready. Today a classic meeting has been organized in Barcelona, it has been a nice day to show my bike.
The main problem with Spanish meeting is that most of people only restore old Spanish brand bikes, and they hate Japan bikes. They consider that Japan brands killed Spanish products susch OSSA, Montesa or bultaco.
In any case I'm proud of my bike, it looks fantastic.

I had an original guilari seat. He just restored it. I do not have any picture of the seat before restoration.

The engine vibrations cause those early model metal float valves to get out of round and a groove on the bevel face. that is why Honda went to rubber tip needles.
