Relay Map reflects updated (proposed) dates:

http://forums.sohc4.net/index.php?topic=101662.0

Turns out some of the dates were out of sequence, and I fixed the fact that ALL of the dates fell on WEDNESDAY...

All of the dates on the map now fall on Saturday, which meant backing up the dates by four days. Look it over and let me know what you think!

Would anyone be willing to be the team leader this year? I would prefer to just ride along where I can this time.

It apppears Chicago and St louis are in the drivers seat this year. St louis was very quiet last time. How about it Chicago riders?

I'm racing for a championship this year, it may be our last season drag racing. I'm not going to miss a race if it lands on one. If not, I'll ride along on the northern part.
St louis  area riders have a great opportunity to ride 40, it's like a little tail of the dragon right there in Missouri, between St Louis and Jefferson city.

Hey Don R, Good to be reading about the next rally!  For Ohio, I looked for some event near/close to the dates, but didn't find anything obvious. The Antique show in Wauseon and the AMA Vintage are on the same weekend this year (how did that happen???) and they are in late July (20-22).  I'm looking for some other events in the Cleveland area.  Amazingly, the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix is also that same weekend!

Here are some event listings:

Check the map, It appears the route is extreme southern Il. area and the chicago area heading east. Chicago guys if it gets there, you are up to bat.

Congratulations! (Kudos on the pending nuptuals too  ;D )

We can definitely use all the help we can get. With the new routing some of the Teams might get shuffled a little, but I'll keep everyone up to speed. Member OldSchool_IsCool has offered to coordinate Team Michigan along with parts of Team Central and parts of Team Northern, and I'll bet between the two of you those sections would be well covered. When I get a chance I'll see about putting together a stand alone schedule so we don't have to refer to the map every time we need to lookup dates. Thanks for the support!  8)

The more input, the better the results!  Looking forward to working with ya on planning MC!
Can I have a motorcycle when I get old enough?
If you take care of it.
What do you have to do?
Lot’s of things. You’ve been watching me.
Will you show me all of them?
Sure.
Is it hard?
Not if you have the right attitudes. It’s having the right attitudes that’s hard.

Hey MC! It'll be great to ride with you again! Hopefully this year I'll make it a few more miles in the saddle. Let me know how I can help brother, with some planning (yeah, like that happens!) can maybe go from border to border (of Ohio that is :))  Also congrats on the wedding, now you can be as miserable as the rest of us  :o

Last year I had to back out at the last minute due to problems with the bike. This year I own two of them so I am def planning on riding this year. For those of us in the Ohio area, is there anyone planning on riding towards Chicago to meet up with the rip coming back this way?

Hi, I am Coke and live in AR.  I have volunteered to ride into MO for part of my Arkansas leg of the relay since it didn't look like anyone from MO was participating.  If you guys are planning on picking up MO I don't want to horn in on your section, but if needed it wouldn't take much of my time to head a bit north and run across part of southern MO (maybe up from Conway AR to Branson then over to Joplin and then back down to Van Buren where I live.  then I can take GZ over to OK

Hi Don, I see you have assumed the responsibility for IL again. No SOHC4 for me this year, but I will be playing the designated roll of Bud this year and plan on riding my GoldWing with the Michigan or Wisconsin group, although if GZ comes up to Chicago I will certainly hook up with the group.

Hi, guys, I will probably ride out to Ohio and do a leg again this year, let me know when and where. NY leg looks like a NY/NJ East coast leg, no thanks.

Hey Tripps, Good to hear from you!  I'm looking forward to the ride. I'm trying to follow it, seems like it's on track.  Looks like GZ will come up from Columbus and then over to Detroit.  Hopefully we can get a handoff here in Cleveland.  Keep in touch!

Final routes haven't been figured out yet for our necks of the woods. I'm not sure if Lefty will do a full Ohio loop before heading to Michigan or if a run up the West side ( Cinci to Dayton to Toledo to Mich) with the East side (Niagara to Cle to ??) would work better. So far, there are no riders in Quebec.  And Operator, the lone New Brunswick rider, had to drop, so a re-entry to the US at Niagara seems most likely.

As for the Michigan leg, we're planning a 4-5 day ride around Lake Huron to hand off to with Team Ontario around Lake Simcoe.  Anyone in Ohio, Ontario, NY or PA (etc) are welcome to join in and maybe even include Lake Erie in the loop!

Count me in for Crook County, AKA the Chicagoland region.  Might even be able to get my wife to join in, so as to break up the sausage party a bit.

Whatever and whenever the ride is, it cannot be as bad and rainy as last year.  Its a meteorological impossibility.
