I'm definitely getting myself a Passport Card. It's an ID that can be used to get in and out of Canada and Mexico so you don't need a full passport.

Damn terrorists.

Well done Team Michigan!  Special thanks to Sean and Artee as the lead off and anchor riders!  And thanks also to all riders in between.

The leg we ran was a lot different then the one we planned. Dealing with the realities on the ground is a lot of the excitement of something like this. My only regret is not getting Lefty into more hands, for more miles and for more member face time than we did.

If anyone has any thoughts on a fall ride or something for next year, don't hesitate to speak up!

Can I have a motorcycle when I get old enough?
If you take care of it.
What do you have to do?
Lot’s of things. You’ve been watching me.
Will you show me all of them?
Sure.
Is it hard?
Not if you have the right attitudes. It’s having the right attitudes that’s hard.

In the pre-9/11 days when crossing back and forth between the US and Canada didn't require a passport the planned route would have been much easier to carry off. Hopefully by next year I have a passport card and another SOHC4 and I will be ready to ride around Huron.

OK team MI, I owe a couple of you guys some things, so here goes:

Dave the Welder, you are in the log book as promised.  Because of the rule "pics or it didn't happen" I've attached the proof.  No international forgery was required as after a few of Lefty's favourite libations,  ;) ;) I was able to persuade him to do it, but right handed of course  ;D

Artee, it was a real pleasure meeting up with you & that great original 750F.  I enjoyed our swapping of a few bike stories, you're a class guy & I hope we can meet up again some day (& that I will be riding too!)  Pics of you at the handoff attached.

Finally, after getting Lefty in the car, GPS & I lost the argument about directions when he said "Shut up & follow my tail, assh#*les!)  Seems like he's just as warm and fuzzy as his brother  :o :o

Kevin, yeah ... a top end rebuild is in order at a minimum ... unfortunately "real" life has gotten in the way of all my best laid plans this year.
