Living in Seattle, but a metro-Boston kid for most of my life.  My family is there as well.

Been a Pats fan through thick and thin.  The bad call that led to the AFC playoff loss to the Raiders in 1977, the blowout losses to Chicago in 1986, and Green Bay in 1997.  The 1 and 15 season, and all the other horrible ones (1975, 1981, 1990, 1992, etc.) .  The James Orthwein years, where the Orthwein's destroyed the team and tried to move it to St. Louis.  All my years of rooting for them to "play tough and don't embarrass the fans."  I didn't care if they won or lost, just that they played good football.

As an aside, my dad, a long suffering Pats fan, died the Wednesday before the snow-bowl game against the Raiders at the age of 61.  When I told him he'd be home from the hospital by the weekend to watch the game with us, he said what would be his last words to me. Those words were, "You better hope I die, because they'll never win a Super Bowl while I'm alive."  Sadly, he was right.

Anyway, all I can say is that the last decade has been all a fan could ask for from their team.
Take care,
David

Probably hard to get excited about the NFL if you live in KC?

I like the "injury" time outs reinvented by the Giants. Personally I think whoever claims the injury should sit out for at least 2 sets. The NFL is already looking at that BS.

New England lost, they had plenty of opportunities and squandered most of them......  The injury time outs need to be dealt with....

I am a Packer fan and many of us were cheering on the Giants. They came on just at the right time, beat the Packers and got it done. Congrats to the Giants. They were a lot like the Packers last season. Got in on a wild card slot and peaked.
