Gauge current draw
« on: February 08, 2012, 05:39:14 PM »
Just hooked up my gauge set on the bench and was astounded to see a draw of .43 A per gauge. As I understand it we are Watt Challenged with only about 75w in the charging system. 10w can be saved by switching to LED bulbs in the gauge set. Tried it with 24v led's will find some 12v ones in green will post a link to site. The 24v ones were bright enough to use so the 12's should be perfect. Going to test the standard tail light and see what savings can be had.
