Not sure if this is the right place to ask, but I AM starting a K3 build...
Just moved to Asheville. Got a (killer) workspace finally sorted out below the house (hence the zero posts for the past few months). Anyone know a good machinist? Bike shops/ boneyards sans attitude? Auto parts stores where the guys at the counter have any sort of clue (and, again, sans attitude)? Who to stay away from in any of these categories?

There is a member of HONDA CHOPPER.com that lives in Asheville,NC, you might go to that site and sign up also. You DON'T have to have a chopper to be on the board and there is a large Population of gearheads there also to help out.

The guys name is Mark Lumbee, I live in Advance, just a little west of Winston-Salem and there is another member here that lives in Greensboro.

Most of us at HC use Cycleone manufacturing in Okla. for machine work and we can get most ALL parts from Lowrider Tommy( He's been building CBs since the 70s)

Don't forget Kim Barringer at Carolina Cycles for your machine work. He's in Salisbury.

This would be a great idea to set up a list like this for the whole state of NC Every one knows someone but no one knows every one. Good machinest and shops for these motors
