Guys, I am helping a club member cleaning up his CB 550 K 1977 model carbs. I am used the 1974-1976 carbs, and these are quite different. Had a lot of fiddling with the little return spring for the choke, and how the two choke rods should grip into each other. I had taken photoes and I think I got it right. Worked well when testing. then I put the carbs back on the stay plate and mounted the flat metal plate that combines carb #1 and 2, and the plate combining carb # and 4.
After this is done, the choke does not work anymore, it will not close. Seems like everything has to be perfectly in line when you assemble it all, a little twist and the choke rod system get stuck!? Have I missed something essential?
