Chuckanut claims another
« on: March 26, 2012, 03:03:51 PM »
Another local motorcyclist died this weekend on Chuckanut.Sad,Tim was only 40 I think, met him a few times, nice guy.Riding a late model ducati at a high rate of speed passing cars left and right,If you know chuckanut drive this is not wise.Head on into 2 cars, died at the scene.i rode Chuckanut this weekend as well ,squids all over the place doing wheelies and the usual antics, just because the bike can doesnt mean you can.

Too bad, Sorry to hear of another one.

I got invited to ride the gap with the local sportbike gang. They appeared shocked when I said I would but I had a drag race that weekend. I would like to, but not with that group.

Sad??  Well, maybe, for his family or anyone who depended on him.  Or for the folks he hit head-on - I'm sure it didn't make THEIR day any brighter.

Sorry, but friend of yours or no, that kind of stupidity doesn't gain any sympathy from me at all.

And Chuckanut didn't "claim" anything at all - he GAVE it away!

I got to go for a ride to pick up Godzilla last weekend. Was in a group of 12 bikes up & down mountains in the Gold Coast hinterland. We were all riding sensibly, at the speed limit when overtaken by some young blokes on late modern sports bikes. Wrong side of double lines & all. Scared the cr@p outta me. They could've got us all involved in their accident. Fortunately it didn't happen, but their day will come maybe.
I agree it's sad when a rider passes on, but moreso when it's not his fault.
Last year I joined a support group for procrastinators.
We haven't met yet.
