SuperTrapp Slip on
« on: February 10, 2012, 12:38:51 PM »
I am getting ready to start restoring my 73 500 and before I start I am trying to get feel for some of my options/possibilities.  The bike has been in the back of the garage for 15 years and needs much attention, although it has been out of the elements.

I installed a Kerker 4 into 1 back in the 80's, the header seems fine but the megaphone is shot.  Does anyone have any experiences with or knowledge of how well the Supertrapp universal silencers work?  I still have the original pipes, and may modify them to work with the Mac 4 into 2 slip- ons also. Any input would be appreciated, thanks.

I run a brushed stainless one on my CB400f. It works and sounds good. I used one from a car I had, I had it and needed a muffler. I used a piece of tube for a spacer.  You can see it and hear a little of it in this vid but it I don't have any WOT vids with it. It does sound good though.
