cb550 carb help
« on: February 16, 2012, 01:53:56 PM »
i bought a gasket kit from dime city cycles for a 75 cb550 this bike is my first experience with honda sohcs so this is probably a really basic question. the kit has 3 small orings an 4 larger ones. my carbs were in rough shape and had no orings in them. where do these orings go? is there a detailed diagram anywhere that shows them? thanks in advance

Never worked on a 550. They look like PDs from this diagram.

Have you down loaded the service manual?

75 550 wouldn't be PD carbs. I have a diagram at home but I'm not there unfortunately . I know it was the same diagram I've seen on this board. Just keep searching. 022a or 087 carbs

If I remember correctly, the smaller o-rings are from the jets, and the larger ones (which I did not use) are from the 'T's on the fuel lines. Hope this helps.
