I posted this on one of my BMW forums, and I got hammered by all the grey beards who owned bikes like that about how crazy I am. My reply was modern tech/materials can fix all those old problems. I just like the look of the bike. I like the old stuff better, yes, I own a 2011 S1000RR, and want a CBR1000RR, but the older bikes and racers are where I'm really at. If I got an old Triton or the like, it would look like this;
