Cody, sorry for your family loss and that you won't make the tour this year. Can you hook me up with anyone from your area who could make the Lafayette connection with me on Sunday April 15th? I'm still planning on making the run from Houston to La., unless there's a better plan from the group. Thanks.

I can probably make that part in Lafayette.  I'm in Baton Rouge, so it will take me a couple of hours to get down there.

Hope... great! I'm taking the back roads along the coast from Houston to Lafayette. I'll be riding in from Abbeville and plan to arrive around noon. Our original meeting spot was at Boudin and Cracklin Diner for lunch and make the GZ pass offIf there's a better meeting spot for you just let me know. I'll be riding my CB400F and would just as soon avoid IH10... if you know what I mean. Looking forward to meeting you. Feel free to pm me if we need to visit one on one.

If I am following this correctly, the plan is as follows:
4/15/2012 - Hope will meet Woody (Gnik Nus) in Lafayette and pick up from him.  Woody will be coming from Houston, which is about 220 miles. Hope will be coming from and returning to Baton Rouge which is about 60 miles.

The problem is that the next set of riders is in Birmingham which is about 400 miles from Baton Rouge.  The Al. rider's original plan was to travel to Meridian on 4/28/2012 and return to Barber Motorsports mid day the same day to hand off to the GA riders.

We just need to decide whether to meet Hope somewhere in between Baton Rouge and Birmingham or see if someone wants to go all the way to Baton Rouge and back.

I think I can make the trek to Baton Rouge, but I may be riding my 1980 CBX which is not a SOHC, but rather a DOHC.  If someone can go along on a SOHC then I will just make the trip but not carry GZ if it is a problem.  I will not have my 750 ready in time for an 800+ mile trip.

We still need to plan to handoff to the GA. riders on 4/28/2012.

Anyway, I am open to ideas.

Let's see if Cody finds a stator.  I noticed some people with A parts for sale on the CB750A board.  If he can find one and get running, we may be able to maintain the original plan.  Kirk, I'm just too damned OLD to go to Baton Rouge and back in two days.  ;D ;D

What's looking like the best time and place to meet up?  I can make McComb.  Lunch at the Dinner Bell would be awesome.

Cody, we can make Hattiesburg if necessary.  If so, we'll need to meet later in the day, and I'll put the meet at Barber's off until Sunday.

I can meet the weekend or week before if meeting in hattiesburg so Yall don't have to push back barbers. I'm checking on the dinner bell to see if they have certain days or times being a smaller place.
