Torque value for lower fork drain bolts? CB750F
« on: February 15, 2012, 06:27:52 PM »
I looked in the manual and did a search but came up empty. How much do you torque the fork drain bolts w/ the copper washers underneath?

And while I'm at it, what's the torque value for the upper and lower fork clamps?
If it's worth doing, it's worth doing twice.

To the drains i apply the law of squishables (any bolt with a squishable washers or ORings, drains, oil filter bolt, valve caps, spark plugs, etc.)

Tighten till the washer engages, then just enough more that it doesn't leak. Ride it, if it leaks, give it a bit more. Its an acquired skill.
