The Viton are much more expensive aren't they? Like 10X more in the link. Where would you need Viton Orings?
They list JIS size and metric size kits.

Cook I didn't even look at the price :o That was the first site that came up on a google search He ( 1974) will need to shop around. I don't know what the difference is between Metric & JIS is. Not sure maybe someone else will know about the Vitron I. think they are more fuel resistant than plain  rubber orings for carbs?

McMaster-Carr is a good source for o-rings.
Viton is good to 400 degree's over Buna-n's 250.
They will stay pliable longer than Buna-n though.

MRieck is right,much more $$

Yep more $ and def stronger, fuel resistant etc. If you buy Viton replacements through the dealer they get you through the nose. Looking for a cheaper spot. I assumed lots of you guys were using Viton seals on your re-builds. Thought somebody might be in the "know" as they say.

Most bearing shops will carry viton, but most also have a minimum per size. And these ole girls have a few odd sizes. When I needed to replace my oil pump cover o-ring (cb500) I had 2 choices, 100 buna for the $12 or 5 viton for $16. I still have 4 vitons in my parts bin :) viton is nice, but not necessary.

I politely disagree, if you are going to the trouble to replace orings on rebuilds, you might as well go with Viton when you have exposure to fuel. Seeing that todays gasahol does not react with Buna very well, it would serve you well to spend the extra bucks for the Viton.
