Motorcycle jack problem
« on: April 23, 2011, 07:54:03 AM »
I've had this AC Delco motorcycle lift now for 5 years and over time the lift has slowly degraded. When I try to pump it, I have to almost help the lift raise the bike. The lift works without a load but I can stand on it while its up and it'll start to give. I've searched the web to try and fix it since the pump is pretty much a bottlejack but slightly different. I've tried to purge it by pressing the release and pumping but that didn't work. There isn't a fill port on the side like most bottle jacks. I don't want to mess with the check valve just yet unless someone with exerience thinks that is the problem.

When my floor jack got tired some jack oil helped revive it.
