Is a cb750 rear hub the same as a cb550?
« on: February 16, 2012, 10:19:53 AM »
Quick question.  Is a honda cb750 rear hub similar to a cb550/500?  I found a couple 750 hubs laced with a harley 16'' rim.  Im looking at putting it on my cb500 project.  Should I pick up the thing?

CB550 hub has 2 bearings, the CB750 hub has 3 bearings.  I don't know if they swap or not, but I believe, no they will not.

even the 500 and 550 rear hub changed, either will fit either bike but must be used with the correct brake backing plate, they wont inter swap, they share the same shoes though.
