Exhaust spigot question cb750
« on: May 29, 2013, 11:58:29 PM »
Hello fellas.

In regards to a 76 cb750f

The original exhaust is booted on via two studs.

I found a set of 4-2 pipes for under $100. The problem is it requires the spigots to clamp them on.

If I buy a set of spigots will the bolt on to my cb750f exhaust ports?

Thank you in advance.

You need spigots counter sunk screws x8 and copper gaskets. They will fit once you remove the studs and old gaskets.

I'm not sure what you mean by counter sunk.

So pull the studs. Bolt spigots in place grade 8 (8mm) bolts and clamp the lil guys on.

Plug and play no problems?

Awesome. Thank you very much.

I need to start a thread, Ill try to take pix as I go. I'm really excited about this scoot.

It was given to me by my land lord. A real mess. Motor frozen beyond all hope. I picked up a really clean cb750f engine with dyna ignition installed and carbs for $150.

Yep you need those,4 crush gaskets and some proper screws that will fit nice and flush with the flanges. Those 8 screws have a little larger head than maybe hardware store items.

I would go socket head instead of phillips.  Like this:

Edit: I am not able to paste the link, just search for  them - see the picture.
