Howdy folks, Well I am the proud owner of a 1973 cb750k3 which I was given for free with a title and now that I have it all apart to the frame I am pretty sure I overpaid for it.It has not run since 82 and someone tried to make a chopper out of it and butchered it up pretty badly. I have been piling up parts from e-bay and other sorces and soon will start going back together. Being I have the engine out and all the covers off if there is anything I should do that you guys know of please let me know. Your expertice and wisdom are greatly appreciated. heres a picture of what I started with.

Lol!   :D

Welcome!  Yeah, there's very seldom such a thing as a "free" bike.

But it's better than overpaying for a bike you actually paid for! ;)

welcome.  You may want to replace the swing arm bushings with bronze and install tapered steering bearings instead of the balls and races in the steering stem. Your "free" bike would have close to $100 with just those two items.  Any photos of it before disassembly?...Larry
