4-1 Exaust + Pods=What size jet needle?

Ok. I thought I've seen people saying that 4in1 exhaust with pods will make the bike run lean unless you change the jet needles. If this is true. Here's my situation. I like the 4-1 and would also like to run pods. I think the bike (73 750) has 135 jets in it now...best case scenario what "should" I be running? I'm getting ready to rebuild the carbs and I don't really want to replace the exhaust if I don’t' have to. Right now the bike runs pretty lean (though I just synced the carbs so it might not be as bad). I've done a search and surprisingly did not find anything. Maybe some soch4.us vets could point me in the right direction?
Additional question: I thought I saw a thread about a homemade timing light in the FAQ? Am I nuts cause I'm not seeing it.

...I run straight pipes and pods on my chop, and I'm jetted at 135, so I think u'r good with the jetting. You said u'r running lean...what are you basing this on?

have you done plug chops to see if you are actually lean? You could just need to tune your low speed air mix. 135 should work just fine, no reason to jet larger.
