Gouge in top of head
« on: February 19, 2012, 09:23:24 PM »
No, not my head :o

Started to reassemble my 750 head and put a nick in the top sealing edge with the valve compressor tool.
Should I worry about this?
If I clean up the burr's will the gasket seal this?
Should I fill the nick with JBweld?
Thanks for any suggestions.

As dave sez and if a groove still there use a TINY amount of RTV
Semi Geriatric ex-Honda mechanic and MOT tester (UK version of annual inspection). Garage full of "projects" mostly 500/4 from pre 73 (no road tax in UK).
