help needed for history

Hi guys.
This might just be to waist your time, but: I have picked up a bike with this engine numer: CB750 E1004919.
It is a sandcast, but the interesting thing here is that it clearly is build for race. At some point someone has used a lot of money on this one. The little plate on the cylinders which normally says "750 cc" says "900R". I only know, that it at some point has been imported from the U.S. Does any of you know anything about this particular engine? I know it is a long shot, but I just have to ask.

Are you referring to the 736cc on the bottom right front of the cylinders as the "plate"? How about posting up some pictures. Ground down and stamped maybe?

That is the one. :)
the stamp seems to be original, but i can`t be sure. Maybe it origin from some other Honda model? The block and head is not original for sure.

RC Engineering was good about stamping their parts and proud of them . 900 though sounds to even if you know what I mean.Pictures of the serial number on the block and the spot you mentioned may shed some light.

 the 736 was raised up, if it is restamped they are pushed into the metal..

Took it apart. The pistons are marked "HAINDST", and google tells me that this means I have a 900 cc. Henry Ape kit. So far so good. However, I am still curious about my engines past.
