So I've got a scissor lift with an electric motor that runs a hydraulic pump.
It is sorta like this:

Well I noticed awhile back that when I started to lift something that the pump would make a couple click/pop noises. But it was very brief, and the jack went right up. Well now it only goes up a couple inches, then just sits and makes click/pop noises. With no load on the lift it goes up fine.
So this thing is heavy... and there is a lot of it. Should I start up by bringing the motor/pump to be checked out, or the piston? I know I should bring both, but it is going to be tough and there is something currently on top of the lift that will be hard to move (long story).
