hi, just i thought id share the progress of my custom.
Its been a long protracted affair with lots of false starts, lengthy delays, blown budgets but it coming together quick now so i thought id share with you the results.
The SOHC has been an invaluable source of information, ive hardly had to post a tech question, the search engine always reveals someone who had been in the same boat before. Hugely indebted!
Terry in Australia built the engine for me. If you read this Terry, my apologies ive lost contact with you, ive moved back to perth and i lost ya number. Hope you are well mate, i always enjoy reading your posts & ya sense of humour!
A shout out to Goddfrey Garage, im sure some of his parts will find its way onto this bike. Now if i could just afford his hydraulic clutch kit
Because of my shift interstate, the last 10% is being finished by Garage Projects here in Perth. Im hoping by posting this thread it will draw attention to their cool, newly established company. Check em out:
http://garageprojectmotorcycles.tumblr.com/Ive tried to keep it retro looking, but upgraded the engine & suspension without having to do a major front end swap, which (only in my opinion only) wrecks the vintage look.
Suspension: Race tech fork emulators, springs, preload adjustors & good YSS rear shock.
Engine: 61mm pistons, webcam, HD springs, heavy porting & Keihin CR26's
Internals: lithium battery, keyless ignition, dyna 2000, electronic speedo, warning lights
last tear down before completion:
