Project "name pending" 78 CB750 - FINISHED (last summer)

Wow! What a weird past 12 months. Although I finished my project last summer (at the end of it of course), I'm just now getting around to posting a finished build thread. Since finishing this beast I've picked up a CB 360 to finish for my wife, a 1950 mercury "lead sled" as my new big project and spent the last 3-4 months training/orienting in a new job role. I cannot believe its been so long since posting anything on here. Here is a link to my original build thread.

And here is my finished product. There is a "gap" in pics from that thread to this one because I killed a hard drive real good and lost a whole #$%* load of pics.

I'll get some more closer up pics and angles in the next few days. But for now here's some recent pics:

Looks great! I just went back and read your build thread :) I like how the oil tank is hidden by the frame. Very clean.

Did you pinstripe it yourself?

WOW I just hope my 78 comes close to looking that good! Great job!  What coating did you use on your garage floor? Im hoping to do it for the last time....the last two didnt work well at all. Even after spending $500.00 for a one car garage for the last coating.  Yours looks really nice.

The project does not need a name.
It is your bike. Just call it (NAME HERE)'s bike.

You did a great job on it. Electrical and oil tank is very impressive.

A honda wing decal on each side of the tank????

Very nice work.  Question: where did you get your hose kit and or braided sleeves for the oil tank? Thanks. Im making an oil tank similar to yours and want to run steel braided hose or sleeves. Not sure if you said in your build thread but can give me the basic measurements of the oil tank? Not anything exact just wondering for volume. Thanks

Wow, I didn't think I'd like that tail section at first glance, but it really looks great on there.
Love the color choice as well - don't see that too much on the cafe bikes.  Goes great with the gray frame.  Love how the black tank insert ties in the color of the rims.    The pin striping is killer too.  I could go on an on.    Nice, clean and tasteful attention to detail.
I shouldn't be surprised seeing as you have a 50 merc as well - clearly, you have the right taste in toys.

Thank you all for the kind words... I do appreciate it.
I'll post up some of my oil tank stuff for others to pull from.
My garage floor is a 2 part epoxy mix from epoxy-coat.com. It cost about $600 give or take when all said and done. Its some pretty tough stuff. I left a coating soaked roller overnight on a part of my floor that wasn't getting coated and I had to use a hammer to break it free. Not little taps either; full fledged whacks! the roller took about 3/16" of my concrete floor with it!
