Topic: where to get brake line?

75 550F, front brake line from caliper to flex line is shot! Where can I get new fittings or a new line? Napa, Carquest, Fastenall, and the local hardware store came up blank. Same for the local Parts Unlimited catalog shop!

you can go to helusa.com and get a new braided line for your bike with stainless steel fittings for $50 WITH shipping. You can choose the line color and fitting color.

HEL is the way to go.  Great quality stuff, fast shipping, and the guy who answers the phone or e-mail is also the same guy making the lines.  Good guy to do business with.  Can't say enough good things things about 'em.  Craig is the owner/operator.

And it would seem that you could avoid buying two cables (one to the pressure switch, and then another to the caliper) by buying a single longer line and a banjo bolt pressure switch for $15.

Would save money and I'd think ensure optimal performance from the single brake line.  I'd expect the connection for the pressure switch is made inside the headlight bucket, which should be easy to reach with the wires from this switch.

Would be great if they made a double banjo switch bolt for dual disk setups - surprised they don't.

Ordered a new one from the local Honda shop. NOS part for $10!   
Also ordered a new bleeder since the origional is no longer 6 sided.

A little bit of research from their catalog and I had a new braided stainless line with fittings and banjos and washers for 50$ish from Dennis Kirk. I ditched the stock M/C for a 98 CBR 600 unit...they have micro switch brake light activation...

I got a set of stock type; not braided, just plain 'ol lines from these guys --> http://www.siriusconinc.com/default.asp

They list stuff on e-bay, and I won them on an auction for about $10 instead of the listed $32.  They fit great, but didn't come with any crush gaskets.  And unfortunately, the five or so auto part stores that I've gone to so far are friggin clueless as to what these are, so they're still on the shelf and not the bike.
