Results of Sparty's New Wiring Harness Install.

Well guys, it wasn't as difficult as I thought it would be.  But it was still a PITA.

My bike is a 1972 CB750, tha harness is for a 1973.  There is a difference between the two harnesses, but it does work.  In the headlight bucket I tried to make every thing as neat and clean as possible... no small feat.  I do have extra connections however that are not used.

I also connected a 1973 key switch, with square end, to my bike.  The 1972 used a round connector to the harness.

I intalled a new starter selonoid also.

I have not put any power to the harness yet, I am waiting for the 1973 fuse box to arrive.

God, I hope it works.

One question, where on the frame did the original harness attach?  My old harness was modified and it ran along the center frame tube.

Art- That manual I sent you has a page with a diagram that shows the stock wire harness routing. The stock harness runs along the central tube above the engine.

Could this be done without major disassembly or engine removal?

@ CBN   about the only thing you have to remove would be.
1) Gas tank
2) Head light bulb
3) side covers

No engine removal
