One other question, do you have in-line fuel filters?

yes, I do. I have two small inline filters. The fuel line goes from the tank to the "T" fitting, then though the two filters and then into the two fuel inlets. They are the see through kind and I can tell there is flow through the filters and each one has a small air bubble.

Have you tried just waiting 5 seconds as opposed to wiggling and then waiting.  It may be the waiting and not the wiggling that is refilling your float bowls.

Nope. Just waiting does nothing. I sat and scratched my head the first time it did it for about an half an hour before i thought to check the bowls. I wiggled the lines (looking for kinks and the like) and then it was good to go. It happened out on the road on me and a quick stop and a jiggle of the lines and I was able to get home.

Did you replace the fuel line with modern fuel line, which is too thick most of the time to route the same way as stock line?

I did, yes, but the routing I had before was working perfectly untill I pulled the coarbs to do the work.

The only high points I have on the fuel lines are the fuel inlets on the carb rail and the tank itself.

I think I have found the problem!! Searching the lines all up and down for a blockage, checking out this and that, I finally desided it was time to pull the petcock and check that out, too. As you can see by the pictures, I had two problems. The first being all the crap in the top of the petcock, the second being the lack of a tube for the "On" position of the petcock: Causing on and reserve to pull from the same location that was full of said crap.

A quick clean (a new o-ring) and alittle bit of gas and I should be up and running without a worry... well, almost without a worry.

According to my dollar store Vernier calipers, the yube openings in the petcock are either 4.5mm or 3/16" Which is it? Am I even close? Can I just get a piece of brass tubing from the hardware store and press it in and be good to go? Or do I have t make a stop by the local Honda shop? Can I even buy this tube seperately?

i found that adjusting the clip on the needle and messing with my air screws fixed my problem as well (running rich) i swear if you have modified exaust that should be the first things to check.

The tube you are missing also has a filter screen. If you can still get one from Honda do so while they are still available. The piece is called a strainer set. Honda part # 16952-341-671 for 75/76 750F. Sure is nice to have reserve especially after you run out of gas the first time. HondaRestoration.com $24.95. That's $25 well spent. Beats walking.

Thanks, Jerry. I'll check with the two closest Honda shops too. I have one that is just about 100 yards down the road. The other is a bit of a drive, but they seem to have more parts in stock for 1980 or older bikes than they do for the newer ones.  :)  It's great!!
