Needed a ride for summer that smoked
« on: February 26, 2012, 08:54:44 AM »
More Doctors smoke Camels than any other cigarette!

I sold my cb400f so I can now finish building the cb400 engine I have. I've got a titled cb400 frame that the engine will go into when its done. That created a problem though, what do I ride while I build my 400?

I searched around and grabbed this. It's got period correct aluminum rims and rear shocks and a bunch of other neat stuff. I think it will suffice. All I need is dry pavement so I can ride it without being in a constant rear wheel spin :P

The nice thing about the Yamaha RD's is that they have good handling.  Looks like a nice bike.

I hope it's not this one, kinda pricey.

If that was mine I'd remove the industrial shelving from the back.

IR400K,
Has the engine been rebuilt lately? the heads have a refinished look to them.

How about a 6ft man popping wheelies on a small bike.  That might be cool. ;D

If that's the thing then some of us would be stuck on a Goldwing  :-[...I just love a small bike w/ lot's of Power and a short wheelbase...just point & shoot. It's great when you want to avoid a near miss too !  :)

The seller flamed he pulled it out of storage from where it's been since 1994. He didn't mention doing a top end so if it has been done it was in the 1980's.
