Scary time.....turn 65 today
« on: March 03, 2012, 03:51:54 AM »
Has anyone seen the tape measure representation of a life cycle? Roll out a tape measure to your life expectancy(about 80 for a male) then point to your present age-it is a scary sight to see the percentage left.

Never thought I would get here when I was tramping through the 60's and 70's carting along whatever feel good drug that came my way. Remember the slogan never trust anyone over 30? That time came and went and the drug/alcohol baggage was still on my shoulders. Well, the 80's came and The Man touched me and I have been free ever since. Must have some sort of plan for me but at 65 I haven't figured it out yet ::) Actually I have, but that is another topic...Larry

Another survivor, congrats, same with me, I never figured hitting 65 in fact there was a little Cockney that kept on telling me I wouldn't make 23 (God Bless You Jimmy Sykes where ever you are) then there was doubts that I would hit 40, 50, 60, and now 75 Oh well, with me it wasn't drugs it was just general craziness and a twisted way of looking at the world.

I like my women a little big. Natural. Now, they shave this and wax that. It's not right. I love natural women. Big women. This trend in women has to go. Bulomia, anorexia. That's just wrong. Thank you to all, especially for the prolonged, extended part.  I actually feel better now than the time during the past 20 or 30 years. On one of my recent trips to the VA the nurse practioner sent me to see a physical therapist, who in one visit cured a chronic neck pain that had been bothering me for as long as I can remember.

The "slippery slope of the tape measure" ;D hopefully it extends for a long time...Larry

Thanks to all.  I went to the Modern Classics event at Martin Motorsports today. Some beautiful bikes to say the least. A trio of old little guy Hondas, a version of the 400f I have never seen and an exquisite Kawi...Larry
