Topic: Stop sign? Just what the heck is that?

For some reason people are more worried about local laws than laws of physics I guess.

I used to drive an ex-police Crown Vic. (the SCMODS was disconnected  ) and was always amazed at how well other people drove around me. They rarely passed me, always used their turn signals, came to complete stops. I loved that car.

I know exactly what you mean.  My Dad had a 77 Impala back when that was the police cruiser of choice.  It was just great.  You just had to turn the headlights on and people would pull to the side of the road

Yes the "flash-to-pass" feature was handy a couple of times.  Not that I would ever do something like that

i was talking to a friend the other day about "driving angry."  his thought was that motorcycles are the best when you're mad cause in a car you just keep getting more and more angry--traffic, whatever.  if you try to ride a bike angry, it'll pretty quickly let you know what a bad idea that is.

When I first moved to Manchester, NH there were several 4 ways with no
stop signs at all, about 6 blocks or so.
Actually never noticed until a visitor was following me and remarked on how I
never stopped at any of the intersections! 

This was a few years ago, and I hear it has been fixed. Could be kids stole the
signs back then.

In my nighbourhood we have a ton of yield signs on the side streets but no stop signs...kinda weird I know...

Hey, it's not just the town of Floyd (which does have the one stop light) it's the whole county of Floyd
(Floyd the town being the county seat). Oops, I forgot, the state is repairing 2 of the bridges in the county,
and they became one lane bridges with a stop light to allow traffic from both directions.
We now have 3 stop lights in the county, I guess that is progress I hate it
