Cb750 drum brake squeal
« on: July 15, 2016, 06:48:21 PM »
My cb750k has been having some REALLY bad squeal from the drum so badly it shakes my whole foot.

It just started doing this after I let it sit for a couple days waiting for a new chain to come in, and I re-tensioned the chain, so could it just be that the drum brake is slightly offset or do I need to change my shoes?

If you had the axle loose you probably just need to re-center the brake panel in the drum.
Loosen the axle and apply the brakes to re-center the panel then tighten axle.

Just the actual axle, or should I loosen the tensioning bolt for the axle as well?
