Classic 60's, 70's Upsweep Pipes From CycleX
« on: February 29, 2012, 09:27:26 AM »
Has anybody had any experience with these pipes? They look like they bolt right on.

I called today and the girl who answered said they bolt right on. I examined the picture a little closer and noticed a frame bracket attached but with no hole at the opposite end.

Update: I just got off the phone with Roxy. There's no centerstand stop on the left side. You would have to weld one up or remove your centerstand all together.

I like my centerstand so I'm out!

As of today according to the site. Straight Are Out Of Stock and All right sides- Out of Stock

A center stand stop shouldnt be to hard to fab up...now just the issue of a picture of it on a bike and what it sounds like. Not to mention the fact that they only have upswept left sides ATM  :o

Picturing it is easy and the sound should fine. If I were as handy as you with a torch I'd jump all over them.

Wouldn't you need 2x1 collectors on each side? There is a place called cone industries that sells all this stuff as well. But I really like the trumpets on the cyclex website.

Yeah, either 2x1 on each side with an upsweep, or maybe, just maybe...little extensions that would let it be 4 of those pretty things, 2 straight, 2 up?

I'm teasing myself, now...

The left and right sides are back in stock. I'm REAL tempted to take a chance on these. I just want to keep my centerstand and I know for a fact that the left side does not have a stop attached.

CB750 supply sells center stand stops that mount up to the passenger peg mount. I will most like be pulling the trigger this weekend. I'll keep you posted.

Get over the center stand thing already.  Fab a stop out of steel like a MAC and mount it to your left rear peg.  I figure 30 minutes including the satin rustoleum black  paint drying.

OR I can spend $4 on one that's already cut, drilled and painted and include it with the rest of my items :) Pipes are ordered I should have them some time next week.

I just tracked them via FedEx. They should be here by Friday so I'll get them mounted this weekend.

Is everyone excited?
