My new CB350f cafe

Howdy!

Been thinking about posting this for a while now, so here we go. Im pretty new to motorcycles, and this forum has helped with pretty much everything! I live in Denver and found this bike on Craigslist for $500. I knew nothing about this bike at the time, and had no idea that it would be such a great find. She had been sitting in the PO's garage for over 10 years and he had converted it into a cafe racer but never really rode it much because he had a kid. it wasnt running anymore but but i loved the look of it so much that i decided to take a leap of faith. I know a little about cars, and figured that getting this to run again wouldnt be too much trouble for me. Soooo me and my friend  loaded her up in my Baja and took her home





My Friend that helped me get her up there



I had another friend help my with cleaning the carbs, and installing new points. I then cleaned the tank, coated it, put in new plugs, a new battery, and changed the oil. Then we tried and start her.... she fires right up after a couple of pushes of the button! I was so relieved to hear her come to life!


My First ride with her.

Since then ive synced the carbs, put on new tires, new chain, got new fork seals put in, and a PAMCO electronic ignition with new coils




New paint on the tank, and i just ordered the orange and white factory style decals for it.

Cant wait to get her back on the road this summer! Ill post pics of her with the new paintjob SOON! Thanks for looking :)

Looks great, but those upside down clubmans and sticky-uppy gauges look odd to me.
The top face of the guages on a 350 are actually below the diagonal plane of the top of the dummy lite set.
I think you may even have the bigger style CB guages on there.
Sorry to instantly pick it apart, I just think cafe style doesn't include what's going on in the handlebar/guage area.
If my gauges were like that, I'd smack my helmet on them every time I went into a tuck.
I'd at least put a front fork brace on too, even if you don't want to run a fender.

Paint looks really great, I think the bike will become a much better looker in your hands.   ;)

Whoa! I had no idea the handlebars were upside down. I was told they were clubmans, but always wondered why they didn't look as aggressive as other clubman bars that I've seemed. Looks like I found my next mini project for the bike!

You bet, I try to keep things constructive... also, there's no rule, but they look upside down to me.   ;)

Haha I was so scared that it was going to fall out, I dont think the Subaru Baja was made to carry motorcycles in its tuck bed. The front tire hung off a little, but besides all the funny looks we got, it was a great drive home

I love the exhaust pipe.  The muffler reminds me of a Norton pipe.  Looks to be a good find!!

just got my 350f put back together :)





Before i put on the front fender and mirrors.


I also just purchased a regulator/rectifier from Ricks that i will be putting on soon.

Nice job on the bike! I was just checking out the photos and thought that looks like Denver..it is. My daughter lives in Denver and we visit every summer ride the Wed nite Denver Crusers bicycle ride and check out Bke nite at Crash 45 fun town.

The 360 definitely feels like it has more power when riding around in the city, the throttle is a bit more touchy coming out of the lower gears....but the 350f feel a little stronger at higher speeds. Both really fun bikes. I've had my 350f for about a year now, and i convinced my Twin brother to buy the 360....convincing him to go cafe has proven to be a little harder though. I think he's more of a purest and wants to fully restore it and keep it as original as possible.

Anyone know of any vintage bike meets in Denver?

Thanks! And yeah It was posted on Craigslist Denver in the cap-hill area. Thanks for the info on that ride coming up in may. I'm definitely putting that at the top of my summer to-do list, looks like fun!

Glad to hear you're loving your little four. I have a CB400F and love it also.

Have to agree with heffay though, those upsidedown clubmans are, well, a little odd. But to each his own I suppose.

Anyway, nice looking bike.

I've got to let you know, Colorado cafe racers is an awesome idea, however, the execution lacks. I've sat at a meet for an hour and no one showed. Just a heads up. The old bike ride is quite a spectacle and definitely worth checking out.

That sticker on the side is Yoshimura. They usually come with Yoshimura kits, etc such as big bore kits?? Perhaps?! Join Rusted Nuts. Heffay can give you the link. I'm a member but I've never made it to Denver for Thursday nights. I've done the Old Bike Ride twice.

I actually have no idea if it has a big bore kit. I thought that the sticker might have been from the exhaust? It was there when i bought it, and the PO didn't really know A lot about the bike because it was actually handed down to him from his Step Father.

besides from taking the thing apart...how could i tell?
