Honda SL350 getting a fresh tank of gas. If memory serves me right wasn't gas around $.60 cent a gal. in the mid 70's. He could ride all week on $2.00 worth of regular.

'Then' and 'than' are completely different words and have completely different meanings. Same with 'of' and 'have'. Set and sit. There, their and they're. Draw and drawer. Could care less/couldn't care less. Bought/brought FFS.

DO NOT ride a new turbo motor to Canada!

The fairing on 2 of the bikes are Wixom. They're a frequent object of ridicule here on the forum but they work well

Just goes to show the versatility of these bikes.  Capable of touring and drag racing.  Can't think of any modern bike that could match that.

Lots of modern bikes can do both and far more efficiently than our old bikes, look at the Suzuki Hyabusa and ZX1400 Kawasaki, both very capable tourers and stupid fast on the strip....Just saying... ;)

I think both the hayabusa and zx1400 are great for the strip and mechanically reliable as a tourer.  However, the riding position would deter most over 35 from taking a hayabusa on a long trip whereas I think the cb750 ergonomics make it a fine tourer.  You're leaning too far forward with too much weight on your arms.

Actually the riding position on both is better than on a 750 honda with superbike bars which is all i ever use on these old bikes, now throw clubmans into the fray and the bigger bikes are far superior. I has a GPX750 {ninja} Kawasaki that did both fast riding {excellent race bike}and touring exceptionally well , far better than an old 750 {which i love by the way}. The hyabusa and ZX are both what they call "hyper tourers" and are very comfortable and capable bikes, similar seating to the older ZX10 Kawasaki's which were also very comfortable... ;)

That fairing looks like the one that was on the K2 my dad and I fixed up. The sticker on it says "Twelfth Dimension Mfg. Corporation" You use the original healight unlike the windjammers. Just like seanbarney41, this ones for sale too.

Not the best picture, me in '77 and the 750 (as it looked originally when I bought it) on a trip back east to Long Island to visit my sister who was still living in Merrick at the time. I have another somewhere with the Montauk Light in the background, but can't seem to find it.

We'll all be someone else's PO some day.
