Nominate for Bike Of The Month - April 2012
« on: March 02, 2012, 09:19:27 PM »
It's Nominatin' Time!

April 2012 BOTM Voting Thread - http://forums.sohc4.net/index.php?topic=102390.0

Congratulations Doctor_D for being the March 2012 BOTM winner!

I will let this run until about 2/15/12 and then start the voting thread.

Please Nominate, Second and Accept using those words.  It makes it easier for me to setup the voting threads.  It gets cryptic at times.
I don't have a motorcycle, sold it ('85 Yamaha Venture Royale).  Haven't had a CB750 for over 40 years.

BrandEn's would be a good one to go up against Tweakin me thinks.  I am just suggesting, no nominating.

Although I really appreciate the nomination I would rather vote on bikes rather than having any of my build included.  I am humbled I was nominated but don't want to be in the running.  Thank you for considering my cb!

That being said I will nominate BrandEns 78 750f, I think it is more than deserving!

you beat me to it, but I'm glad you did because I'd like to nominate Vbled1's CB750:

I don't know if it's finished enough to be nominated yet though. Hopefully he can get in here and confirm one way or the other.

MMM some bad news, Vincent just sent me this:

hey Charlie thanks for the PM. The bike is actually about a month out from being completed. The bikes apart for paint right now, working on a seat and an oil tank at the moment. Thanks for the nom but maybe next month because competition is pretty stiff around here. Also, I made a new brake arm for the bike but thanks for help. I will definitely update my build thread once i finish and most likely along the way. Take care, thanks again. -Vincent

Thanks everyone but I feel like I should decline the nomination. My bike was already in the running last year and once is enough.

Well, know you are welcome to be back in the BOTM if you change your mind.  I felt it was worthy and allowed to be in the BOTM again as well as to go up against Tweakin's bike.

I really think BrandEn and Tweakin should have a show down! Seems like they're too good of friends for a little friendly competition. That's right, I'm calling you two out! ;)

I guess it's time to lurk in the project shop.

Well, I'll tell you what, Schmthaus, your '76 is a pretty sweet looking ride. I'll throw your bike out there as a nominee for April's BOTM.

Thanks KB, but mine was just in there in October. I protested at that time because I pretty much bought it the way it is from the original owner. How do you compete against guys who have poured their heart & soul into their bikes?  ;)

Seen this bike in person, the minimal look and garretcb750's eye for detail is just not done justice in those pictures.
