Are you and your bike going to ROT?
« on: June 02, 2006, 04:19:10 PM »
No, this isn't a Craigslist solicitation looking to buy cheap motorcycles. It's actually a serious question. ROT is the Republic of Texas motorcycle rally. There will be 40,000 motorcycles of all descriptions from all over the country gathering here in Austin this weekend. I figured some of us are within driving distance or might already be on the way. Yeah, there's wireless broadband at the Travis County Expo Center, so they might be reading this right now from the comfort of their Camper of Debauchery. Just thought if anyone was planning to come we could compare rides. That is, of course, if we can pry our eyes from the topless women running around the crowd. Topless women in public? Yeah, that's legal here in Austin. Many who should usually take advantage at ROT.

Was considering running around the grounds tomorrow but don't think we will make it. Would like to go to Lake Shores on Sunday for the Austin Roadrunners vintage show. There are a lot of bikes running around.....

Washing, waxing buffing. I was thinking about Lake Shores as well. One thing is for certain, this fine old lady is cruising somehwere this weekend. She'll still turn heads. More people want to talk about my ride than the $40,000 Harleys. It's running beautifully and shining better than it has since .... ROT last year......
