Topic: 18" front wheel on CB550?

I just got a 76 CB550, and I want to go to an 18" front wheel.  Would the front wheel of a CB350 be a direct swap?  Any other wheels that may be a direct swap?

Not 100% sure off the top of my head, but you could most likely run that wheel off the 350 and use the axle from your 550.   I believe that the triples on the 350 are a bit narrower than the 550.   You might have to have a spacer made but that's probably about it.   You could use whatever spacer you have left over from the swap and cut/machine it to the correct width.

That 350 have a drum or disc hub ?

The 350 wheel im looking at has a disk.

Out of curiosity, are you swapping for a particular look for your build, or is there some performance reason?

So you're looking to swap the whole front wheel with its hub and all?  I think you'd have to do it this way as the 350 hub is 36-spoke if memory serves.

I want to do this because I like the look of both the front wheel and rear wheel being the same size.  I am thinking of swapping the entire front wheel assembly over, I have to image that would be the easiest way to do it.
