jets for 1978 cb750k
« on: March 04, 2012, 08:33:28 PM »
It seems to be impossible to find carb rebuild kits for a 78 750k. In reality all I need are new jets. I was wondering if its possible to use the kits for other years? Will the gaskets and jets all fit? This is my first motorcycle and Im learning as i go.

thanks all

There are a couple places for jets since they generally arent included in carb rebuild kits.

Also I see that you are in Madison, you may want to talk to Steve and Judy at Madison Motorsports. They should be able to help you find what you need and get them ordered.

Another Madison place to check out is Suters Speed Shop. They are a motorcycle salvage yard and shop and generally if you're looking for just a couple small carbs parts they can help you out by getting them out of a salvage set of carbs. I've done this for my Gl1000 and other various parts for my CB750's.

If you're just looking to rebuild the carbs there is no reason to replace the jets. They just need to be cleaned.

Just jump on ebay and type in "Carb Kit CB750." A quarter of the way through the first page I had found three kits for the 77-78 750's. You can also just check with a Honda dealer. They should still be able to get them.

+1 on the jets. They don't come with the kits and only need to be cleaned.
