I'm contemplating buying a 74 cb550 with 21,000 miles, at this point in the bikes life what should I expect maintenance wise?

 The cb550's are great bikes. Check the compression on all 4 cylinders. check for oil leaks.  Check that the front caliper doesnt stick. make sure it goes through all the gears. Its an old bike you can expect anything i guess.  Are you mechanically inclined?

Hey tango,
The bike runs good it's driven daily and has no leaks just needs typical cleaning and updating of the bars exhaust etc. I do have the ability to due any work needed I'm just use to a cb350 with 8,000 miles so just making sure I'm not getting in over my head.
