I had a '95 Civic Si (canadian) coupe and it was fun to beat on.  I put on a generic short ram with a k&N and you could really hear the vtec change over! I'd keep the D16Z6 over the B16 tho.  I drove a DA Ingetra with a B16A2 and it was nothing special -- kinda slow.

I wish I still had my 5.7L '91 Trans Am GTA.  That car had so much torque!

Soooooooooooooo....what does any of these 4 pages have to do with SOHC ?

well, as it is in the open forum it is allowed.  granted, many of us may not be interested in the topic but, with 4 pages... it seems that many of us are.

if you're not interested... you don't have to click open the thread  :P

no... the deloreans are definitely not fast.  you saw michael j. fox begging it to get to 88mph right?

almost bought a delorean a few years back.  it was sitting in a car lot for 10 grand or so...

the deciding factor was the "aftermarket" red paint job!  damn!  what a desecration.

Never understood why people start off with slow cars, only to dump crazy amounts of money
into them to end up with the power that one of the above mentioned cars has from the factory...?

Agreed. From what I can remember, they're powered by a Volvo engine, just don't ask me the specs. My girlfriend's father currently has his sitting in the back shop of their Volvo mechanic while he tinkers on it in his spare time. They definately have the cool factor going and the stainless is nice when it's clean. However, it's a lot like your SS fridge or microwave: finger-print-o-rama. If you were going to take it to a car show it would definately need some roping, otherwise you could identify everyone that pawed your car even without the CSI team,  ;)

Seems like I've graduated to smaller vehicles because I've always lived around mountains. Maybe if I lived in Kansas or Ohio I'd be more into muscle.
My wife says I buy high and sell low.  Some people just like to noodle around with whatever is at hand.  Personally, I put way too much stupid money into my stuff.  A lot of it's for style or comfort, sometimes it runs a little better.  I watch too many people try to out-think the factory and end up tinkering more than riding because they never seem to get it right.
What ever blows a breeze up your skirt, girls.  Just don't block my driveway.

That's probably it Dusty, ha ha! also, the stainless steel is only a thin veneer over a plastic sub-strate, much like a cheap refrigerator. Maybe if Hyundai put gull-wing doors on their cars people would stop calling them #$%*-boxes? Nah, probably not, ha ha! ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

"Crazy is a very misunderstood term, it's a fine line that some of us can lean over and still keep our balance" (thanks RB550Four)

This discussion of domestic vs foreign needs to end since its complet stupidity. I can play the compair game all day... In the end the question is are you an enthusiast or brand whore...

Real enthusiasts build their own fuel injection systems from scratch: http://www.bgsoflex.com/megasquirt.html

Sorry. I'm just a brand whore :)
