Topic: Carb help please!

I am in the midst of rebuilding my carburetors on my 1975 cb750f. I just bought these on ebay and have no clue where they are at as far as adjustments.Just wondering how to install and adjust the choke valves? One fell out and i have no idea on how to install them. Also, how do i make sure the carburetor is adjusted correctly, as far as gas fuel/air mixture etc... My slide seems to be sticking at the top when the throttle is wide open. Thanks in advance for the help guys.

Thanks alot harisuluv! I just put my first carburetor into the parts dip bucket. I did not mess with the choke, i just disconnected the carbs at the 'turnbuckle'. My slides seem to stick at the top, is it ok to sand them down a little with steel wool or fine sandpaper? Thanks again!

Rule 1 of rebuilding carbs- do NOT derack the carbs unless you absolutely, positively, there is no other way to possibly do it other than dreacking.
Most carbs can be completely rebuilt without taking them off the rack.

Rule 2- take pictures since digital pics are cheap and can be viewed on your computer to confirm proper reassembly.

Rule 3- use generous amounts of carb cleeaner AND compressed air to blow out orifices and nooks/crannies/air passages.

You can do that but I don't really try to take off metal until I soda blast the cylinders and buff the slides so I know exactly where I'm at. Also if you have the caps off sometimes it seems like it might catch a bit at the top when coming back down because it might catch a bit on the rail. It's a pretty precise fit. If I need to do some sanding I will mark the slide with a sharpie marker and then slide it up and down again so the marks will reflect exactly where the imperfections are. Then you can isolate and deal with just the spots you need to. Hope that helps.
