CycleX Oil filter adapter problem

Has anybody else had problems with the oil filter adapter from CycleX. I cannot tighten mine due to fittings for oil cooler hitting engine case. Other problems too, but this one makes it unusable. Ive contacted CycleX but no answer as of yet.

I turned mine so the holes faced down. I used 90 deg npt to -8 adapters to connect to the line. I remember I had to fool around with it for a while to figure it out.

you're kidding. I really figured mine was an accident.    Do the lines hang much below the engine?

The fitting on the original Lockhart oil coolers from back in the day face down also.

When it's on the adapter is rotated counter clockwise a bit. I use the cooler in the summer when it gets above 80 deg. I haven't fitted a themosatic valve yet. The fittings are all Russell and the cooler is a small Setrab unit that bolts to 2 small tabs I welded to the frame. The cooler fits just under the horn.
