This is for sale locally but looks like a basket case to me.

I think the thing I most like about motorcycling is the speed at which my brain must process information at to avoid the numb skulls who are eating pies, playing the ukulele, applying make-up etc in the comfort of their airconditioned armchairs as they make random attempts to kill me!!!!!!!

A few things that are not correct for 72 would be the rear fender, chain guard, shocks, should have a rear grab bar/turn signal mount, can't tell if it has a unicorn triple but the paint is gone. Maybe more, hard to tell.  72 was the only year with the extra button on the left handle, think its there. That would apply to USA models though.

Looks like he put Armor-All on the seat to shine it up. Maybe he thought that would take your attention away from the weird fork things and lack of front wheel. Sellers of cars, motorcycles or whatever always think armor all will make you think it's worth more than it is.

Good timing to ask an old timer this question-  what is that extra button?  I built a K2 for a guy last year, and his left control had that extra button attached to the bottom of the hand control.  It wasn't wired up when I tore into the bike, but I thought it might be a winker for the headlight?

Sorry for the hijack, but the timing seemed right. :)

Is the front end the remains of a leading link set-up?

If so, check if sidecar mounts have been added to the frame as they go together.

The extra button Andrew on the underside of the left handle was a one year only turn signal  buzzer cancelling device.Just got another 72 awhile ago and they really do work when you hold it in. Lots of folks have removed that buzzer over the years. the turn buzzer started in 72 and they fit on a little bracket on the fork ear.    Eric

If the bike has a working leading link fork, and a sidecar, that would make a huge difference in the price...
