Anyone need some CB750K1 and later Oil Jets?
« on: March 08, 2012, 08:32:46 AM »
I am about to make some oil jets for the CB750K1-K8/F0-3/A engines. These are the ones that have 9 small holes drilled in the "pipe" on the inside of the oil passage (i.e. the Strainer), and the body at the head is 0.243" diameter. These are the most common oil jets.

If you need one or more, let me know: I am making an order of them to my machine shop friends here. I will be selling them in pairs, most likely.

For those of you who want to increase the oil flow to the top end a little bit, I can also make ones with a slightly larger metering hole. This is helpful if you have a high-lift or long-duration cam, or are going track racing with the bike.
See SOHC4shop@gmail.com for info about the gadgets I make for these bikes.

Great service! There's got to be some heads out there missing the orifice. I may have one myself, I'll check this weekend, gotta dig it out. Don't let me keep you from starting your run though.

If I did need some, the OS would be nice.  I'll let you know.

Hey Hondaman, I am more of a visual person so am struggling with which ones you are talking about. are you talking about the two oil jets that are in the head (that I believe sit under the rocker tower). If so, I will need a couple. The machine shop lost mine when the head went through the parts washer :(

danfr: that should be what he's talking about, but i should let him confirm that. In the meantime the link to your engine rebuild in your signature takes me to an error message that says it is no longer available or I have been blocked. FYI

Thanks for the heads up on the link. I pulled the thread as that bike is gone. Needless to say, never buy an untitled bike no matter how much you trust the person's word. :(

I'm in need of a set - PM sent.  I'll take two sets if available, just to have them handy for my next rebuild.

Hondaman! I found my jets, tucked away in a bag. I must have outsmarted myself and removed the jets before I had taken my head to the machinist.

If you haven't already started production, I will not be needing my pair.

Thanks

Hey Mark,
I'd like a pair if for no other reason to see how they are made. Besides, it's always good to have spares of parts that are no longer manufactured. What years had these nozzles/jets? I thought the early K0 but also saw them in later Ks and SSs. I don't remember seeing them in a K1 but maybe they were just stuck in there - don't know. You gonna sell them on your shop web site?

The nozzles were part of the head until K2 or thereabouts. They did not come out. In fact, on the very early heads they may have been part of the casting, but don't hold me to that.

They became removable at that point, K2 +/-, and therefore losable.

OK: I apply those holes after they are made. So, when I get them, I'll come back to here and post it again.
