Fitting new cables
« on: March 08, 2012, 10:32:53 PM »
I’m just about to fit a new Motion Pro push-pull throttle and cables to my 750. The new cables have nipples at one end only (obviously!). My carbs are Keihin CRs.
My question is this - should I fit the cables at the carb end, route them round, and cut/solder up at the throttle end, or vice-versa. Also, what position should the length adjusters at the carb ends be set to? I guess these should be screwed fully in, then I could cut the cables slightly over length and take up the slack. What d’ye think?  :-\
