They do make a good outboard

but all the Yammy bikes I have worked on have been assembled like everything is an after thought. No jobs on them are simple or straight forward like on the Hondas. This is only my experience I have only worked on a few Yammys, but I'm not in a hurry to increase the number I have worked on.

only xs twins and two strokers please trueblue,,any late model bike is a pain to even remove the plugs on!Q? how come when i go on a ride and we stop somewhere other bikes are at,im the only one with dirty fingernails and grease blobs on my shirt?A,,because all the other riders have their bikes serviced by the shop.

Good stuff for sure but don't touch your tools with them, especially anything that will touch anything in the gearbox. Magnetising gears or bearings guarantees you mechanicing practice.

I was going thru my stash of Kawasaki Z1000 parts the other day, and noticed that the new oil filter I bought has magnets built in? Maybe they owe you some royalty money Dave?

A lot of aircraft engines have a magnetic drain plug with a wire on either side once enough metal builds up on the magnet it completes the circuit and turns on a "chips" light on to warn you that things are not as they should be. allows you to tear down the engine before things get really bad. It is baffling why cars and motorcycles dont employ something like that.

I heard our racecar engine clink one day when we shut it off. When I drained the oil a short 1/4" bolt came out on the magnetic end of the drain plug. That one cost me $3,000. dinged the rods, piston and a cylinder bottom. It's surprising how little room there is inside a stroker big block chevy.
