Who has built the finest motor?
Post some pictures of your beautiful engine, so we can all be inspired. :-)

Here is a K7 CB750- This was a custom hard-tail project that we did for a customer. The engine is a stock rebuild, but tuned and gone through like it should be. Paint and polish too.

In addition to the engine work, I built a custom wiring harness for it- Bike retained electric start and turnsignals (bar end style).

I don't have a pic of just the engine, but I had a hand in this engine build as well-

It's an 849, 10.5:1, big cam, cycle-x super rods, new valves/guides with some mild porting and a 3 angle valve job, HD springs, Titanium retainers, MLS head gasket, guy is running cycle-x dual carb conversion. All new chains and rubber bits on the inside too. The painting and dress up was done by the owner, I handled the assembly and setup of the engine. Real proper- can't wait to get it dialed in- the bike is still being finished.

AndrewK, that K& is not wearing a K& head...are you not going tgo run a top rear botor mount?

Left mine in the Dryer too long

Now have to use it in the Grandkids tricycle.

It actually is the K(3) head, but the owner painted it black for cosmetic purposes. The first one does not use a top rear motor mount. The frame was cut about halfway up the backbone, and the lower mounts were fabricated and reinforced.

It's not as bad as you'd think, but it's not a distance hauler by any means.

The gold bike that you call a K7, that is a much earlier head.. I would add an upper rear motormount..unless grandma is riding it..

How do you figure that the head is early? It seemed to be all original when I took it apart, but anything's possible witht these things.

Bike is long gone out of my hands now, but I don't disagree about the mount being a good idea. Grandma doesn't ride it, but it's not ridden as a drag bike either. It's fine for the purpose the machine serves.

My (almost) totally stock '76 cb550f. Never went through the engine (I'm still a broke college student). But for fun slapped in a 650 cam. That with the 4into1 and pods livened it up a bit. Hand made the exhaust can as well. I can't wait to graduate in May and start making some real money. Maybe someday I'll do a frame off rebuild!!
