Author Topic: cb750k4 Where to get the 8 orings that are used on fuel feeds for carbs?  (Read 2074 times)

I disassembled my carbs and want to replace the 8 (4per inlet) o=rings that are on the 2 fuel inlets. The prob is that the fiche lists them in the carb kit and not individually, also it does not give a size or part # for just the o=ring it only lists it as a kit. I just bought 4 carb kits but they do not include these o-rings (keyster). Has anyone run into this before? Do you guys normally replace them on a full rebuild? Thanx

Each Honda carb gasket kit includes enough of these for one tee connection. With four gasket kits you have a set left over.
Someone here had bought a minimum order of the necessary o-ring, I don't recall who. They were available at a pretty low price - compared to Honda gasket sets, anyway.

why not grab a universal oring set from harbor freight. the nitrile ones. im sure there has to be an oring that will fit. someone correct me if i am wrong

 Not worth it to guess with a harbor freight universal o-ring kit. Maybe for something less critical. I'll spend the $ if i have to on 2 oem kits but I have never run across this where Honda does not list a number or size for a o-ring.

When Honda did publish the o-ring part number and size, it was: 16173-044-004 / size: 7.8 x 1.9

Thank you sir. I found them at http://www.oringsandmore.com/servlet/the-2174/Metric-Viton-Orings-8/Detail . I also found a previous post and apparently none of the herbor freight o-rings will work. Furthermore Honda man stated he uses the 8 x 2mm oring for this application. $10 shipped for 10 Viton orings. Problem solved thanx again

I used those two, metric set from hf is a good deal on orings. But orings from plumbing at lowes work well too.  No leak for 4 000 miles so far.

+1 to that.  i got the Harbor Frieght kit in the blue plastic box, and found O-rings that replaced them just fine.  there's plenty in the kit, too!  :)
