Topic: Oil Pump Screw Size?

As you will see in the attached picture, the screws in my oil pump (cover?) are stripped to s*%t. You may also notice the wonderfully not-so-stock gasket sealer creeping into view.

I have talked to Jim about the engine cover screw sets and he has offered to get to me replacement screws for the pump. He believes them to be 6mm, but doesn't know the length. When looking in the micro-fiche this unit comes as an assembly so I cannot see the individual screw specs.

Before I pull this apart without the proper pieces to put it back together I figured I'd ask if anyone knew the dimensions??

use a punch in the undo direction to take one out,then just take it to your local bolt place,,i managed to find stainless counter sunk allens,12 mm long will work.

Pretty sure I have some laying around that you can have if you need them. Not sure if I have all 3... Or I can just measure them when I get home if you just need a dim.

oh crap you have a 550.. I thought this was a 750- the 750 has the same looking 3 hole plate as you have pictured...

I bet they are still the same, but someone else will need to confirm...
