New SOHC4 guy in Mid-Atlantic region (PA)

Funny how awkward it is to make this first post, right?  Anyway, I am in Glenside, PA and just picked up my first SOHC4 several weeks ago - a 1978 CB750K.  I have been lurking at this forum ever since then so I thought it was time to man up and say hi.  You folks are without a doubt the most complete crowd of great bike people anywhere.  I have learned an amazing amount of info about my bike already and I thank you for sharing your knowledge (and your humor - some of you really crack me up!). 
I'll get some pics up within a week or two.

Welcome from NY, glad you came. I wish you were around when we needed Mid Atlantic riders for the Round the World Rally.  ;D

I have a 78 K also so that makes us outcasts among outcasts.  ;D ;D ;D ;D

Has the Round the World Rally already gone through this area?  I am usually up for any and all rides like that given enough time to make plans.  Good to know you are also on a 78 K.  I will search for the pics.

The first one is still going on and you can catch it in Australia. They are starting another one. I don't have a link but you can search it.

@Paul - thanks!  I hope to borrow on a lot of the wisdom on this forum when I get to my own project.  There are some tough acts to follow here!

@ Andy - never been to thunder in the valley.  i'll search the forum for info or google it to see where and when.  i can either just replace the front wheel bearings and start to ride my bike immediately or start the "big project" and start to ride/enjoy it at some probably distant point in the future.  still not sure which way that is going to go yet so I have been holding off on doing either until I make up my mind.

@Larry (MoMo) - maybe we can catch up for a ride this summer if I go straight to making the bike road worthy.  I am on Carroll Ave, in the Northwoods Community over between the quarry and the Northwoods Country Club.  Did you know anyone from the Sharpless family?  We bought our house from them about 9 years ago.

My suggestion is to do your bearings, make the bike safe and ride it. A lot of the bikes you see here are rolling restroations.  Every winter you do your projects and them ride while we can in good weather.

Holy heck!!  The babe thread is a real (and seriously nice) thread!  I thought that was a joke but when I used the "search" to try to find a pic or two of your bike I was pleasantly surprised by finding the babe thread instead.  This is truly a great forum.   8)
